MOMook

Flight training platform

During a six-month internship, I worked on MOMook — a flight-training platform used by instructors, trainees and administrators. My work focused on simplifying complex training workflows, improving instructor evaluation tools and adapting key experiences for different devices.

Understanding training before redesigning it.

MOMook connected instructors, trainees and administrators around one operational training process. Before changing screens, I traced how session planning, evaluation, roles and device context depended on one another.

01
Session lifecycle

Follow the workflow from planning and flight details to evaluation.

02
Roles & access

Separate what instructors, trainees and administrators need to see and change.

03
Working context

Prioritise the aircraft, course, people, timing and action relevant to the moment.

Evaluation and permissions were different tasks, but both depended on clear hierarchy. These compact reconstructions show how choices could stay visible without becoming overwhelming.

02.1 / EVALUATION

Assessing a training session

Exercise scores, the final grade and instructor feedback stay together, so evaluation remains connected to the session being reviewed.

Clarifying role access

Related permissions are grouped by task, making each role easier to scan, compare and update without navigating a long technical tree.

PERMISSION TREE

Turning a dense form into a guided training workflow.

The original session flow exposed almost every field at once. The redesign kept the same operational data while making the order, roles and next action easier to understand.

All information is presented at once.

Taking training workflows beyond desktop.

The tablet experience prioritised the information needed during a training session: people, aircraft, course, current stage and one clear action.

Learning product design in a real system.

This internship was an early lesson in designing beyond individual screens. Roles, permissions, training rules and operational data all shaped what the interface could become.

Working inside those constraints gave me a foundation in systems thinking that I later carried into larger enterprise products.
